Confín
_ the farthest point reached by the eye.
The pavilion is conceived as an audiovisual instrument. A kinetic installation composed of fragments of barrier tape, decontextualizing a common urban element traditionally used to control movement. Constantly changing in form, the pavilion remains open to multiple uses, allowing visitors to move through it freely and activate the space.
Through repetition and movement, the piece generates a temporary state of disorientation, intensifying spatial perception. The tape fragments sway with the wind, creating an undulating motion across the structure and producing an unpredictable soundscape that responds to its surroundings.
Beyond its physical presence, CONFÍN reflects on architectural responsibility in the face of environmental challenges. The project adopts the principles of the 3Rs — reduce, reuse and recycle — as a design language, proposing lighter, more conscious ways of building temporary structures. More than an object, the pavilion becomes a fragile yet powerful spatial experiment, where limits are constantly redefined.
