CC Chair
Beyond Space _ Collaboration
Nowhere and everywhere
The project emerges from a contemporary reinterpretation of a Renaissance chair, translating its proportions, ornamentation and structural logic into a reduced and essential language. Rather than reproducing its historical presence, the design isolates key principles of balance, hierarchy and craftsmanship, and reworks them through a contemporary lens.
The result is a piece that operates between memory and abstraction. Classical references are distilled into geometry, tension and rhythm, where structure and surface are resolved as a single continuous gesture. The decorative becomes structural, and the structural becomes expressive, revealing a quiet dialogue between past and present.
Material choices reinforce this reading, favouring clarity, tactility and precision in detailing. The chair is conceived not as an object of nostalgia, but as a contemporary artifact that carries traces of its origin while fully belonging to the present.
